Spring What?

Wisdom of the Day: Impulsiveness is the fruit of lust.

Going to a Christian university has its occasional downside. Like not having a spring break. In our all-important crusade to resist the rampant secularism that plagues today’s society, we have opted to take Easter break–a break filled with mission trips to Mexico and quiet reflection on the crucified and resurrected Christ–vis à vis the carnal Spring break, based of course on a pagan holiday, usually involving road trips to Mexico. What this really means is that our break falls less than a month from finals week this year. At that point, why really bother? Why not just let us out a week early? Since we can’t have a break right now, when we really need it, why even bother?

Don’t listen to me, though. In highschool I used to complain about how Christmas break was called winter break. Now that we have Easter break, I still call it spring break out of habit. In all reality, I think quirky things like this are part of the charm of a Christian environment. I just really need a break.

P.S. I have lots of half-written posts in my drafts folder. Expect updates in the near future.
